From 20 to 25 June, Cascais will once again host the Rolex TP52 World Championship, one of the most renowned sailing events in the world.
Always appreciated by sailors, Cascais continues to provide the perfect conditions for competitions such as this.
Therefore, for the 5th year, the 52 Super Series returns to our waters.
And, of course, the Cascais Marina is one of the main stages of this event. It is here, that the 9 teams, composed by champions from several nationalities, prepare themselves for the great competition.
The official training began on the 20th June, where the teams Alegre, Gladiator, Interlodge, Phoenix, Platoon, Provezza, Quantum Racing, Sled and Vayu were put to the test.
But it is from 21 to 25 that the world championship will test champions and monohulls as never seen before.
Besides integrating three of the teams that have already won the prize, this championship is also part of the five stages of the 52 Super Series world calendar, which started last May in Bayonne.
Among the several recognized names, we can count on Bernardo Freitas - Olympic Games 2012, London - who is part of the technical team of team "Alegre".
